This is our shelf of comics and illustrated books. It’s barely occupied, with a speaker filling over a quarter of the available real estate. Clearly it is time for me to own many, many more. I’m hoping to build my collection at the Small Press Expo in Bethesda, MD on September 19 and 20.

The programming schedule hasn’t been released yet, but I’ll be interested to see if there are any talks on planning comics or developing their stories. It could be a great chance to get a look at the inner workings of another narrative form.
